Computer & Part Recycling
Many people just upgrade their computer and throw out their old one, but do not realise that there are those old computers are still useful to others and can be re-purposed or used for spares to repair other failures.
We are happy to collect old computers from you at no cost, providing they are within our service area and are still useful to us. Even faulty components, LCD monitors, etc are great as a source of components since we also repair computer parts, not just replace them.
This service is limited to the following locations
- Bullaburra
- Wentworth Falls
- Leura
- Katoomba
- Medlow Bath; and
- Blackheath
Why should I give you my stuff?
We do not agree with making a profit from something obtained for free, for parts that do not owe us any monatary value we will not re-sell for more then the cost of procuring the item (usually between $1 and $10) which is just to cover our costs. These parts will be used in the servicing of computers, saving our clients (and possibly you) money by use of recycled components. We will not just give away your parts either, they will only be used in the servicing of computers with faults where they provide a suitable replacement.
I dont want recycled components in my computers
Thats fine, we will confirm with you if a recycled component is ok before proceeding. There is no warranty on recycled components, however if it fails within a week and we have another comparable recycled component we will glady swap it at no cost.
No warranty? How do I know the part works?
We will do our best to not sell a faulty component, we rigoursly test everything to ensure that there is no faults, however sometimes a fault can still creep through un-detected. Honestly though, if it only costs you $1-10 to try a recycled part verses $100 for a new part it is not much of a loss if it does fail.
Privacy
To protect your privacy, any recycled components that may contain any personal data go throught a seven stage format to remove all traces of your data. This ensures your personal information does not end up in the hands of the wrong person. If this is not satisfactory, we can and will remove the storage devices for you and either leave them with you to dispose of, or dispose of them for you, even if they are in working order.
